Pitching thoughts

Pitching woes have always been the main issue for the
Yankees. Sabathia’s next start will be assessed in a bullpen session.
Hopefully, all goes well as he wants to pitch this Saturday at Citifield
against the Mets. If it doesn’t go well for CC, Aceves or Hughes can be starting
in his place. I know Yankee fans all over the world are praying this just a
reaction from a large workload and not something else.

Wang is pitching tonight against Atlanta’s Tommy Hanson.  Hanson has an
ERA of 4.08, almost a 3rd of what Wang’s ERA is (12.30).  It will be an
interesting matchup with Wang against Hanson. I have a feeling this game may go
in the Braves favor, considering Hanson’s pitching style and how his control.
The Yankees have never faced him before so they will have to figure him out
early and give Wang run support since the Braves have been hitting very well as
of late.

Last but not least, Grady Sizemore was activated to play coming off of a 15-day
DL stint do to an inflamed elbow.  Grady fans everywhere are rejoicing.

To all the “Mrs. Sizemore” t-shirt wearers, you can start to celebrate

Sizemore still
progressing nicely and is traveling to Pittsburgh with the club
tomorrow AM and could see action at some point in series”

Hopefully, once he does returns, the elbow stays cool and healthy. I’ve read countless reports from blogs and articles, that Grady’s elbow was bothering him since Spring Training. It is amazing how they waited to mid May to start addressing it, so let’s hope that does not come back to haunt them. A healthy Grady is a very GOOD thing, especially for all you Fantasy fans. For the Indians he may make a difference if he starts delivering offensively and defensively for them, but that’s null and void with their pitching situation.
